PARKS AND RECREATION REPORT 6-1-11 LMS
Agreements and agreement renewals are needed between the city and various sports organizations according to a Parks and Recreation Committee report delivered to the June 1st meeting of the Salmon City Council by committee chairman Jim Kluesner.
Kluesner said the committee found that the agreement between the Salmon River Baseball Association and the city is in good order however, as per terms of the agreement, the association needs to let the city know what is being planned for the upcoming season.
The Salmon Hockey Association agreement needs to be updated and Kluesner said representatives will be invited to attend the June 28th Parks and Recreation Committee meeting.
The committee decided agreements need to be developed between the city and the Lemhi Baseball Association Little League as well as the Salmon Co-ed Adult Softball organization. Parks Superintendant Charley Cockrell and City Clerk Mary Benton will develop some written agreements. Representatives from the various groups will be invited to the next Parks and Recreation Committee meeting to review the agreements before they are presented to full City Council for approval.
The June 28th meeting of the Parks and Recreation Committee will begin at 4PM and will be held in the Salmon Valley Center meeting room. The meeting is open to the public.
