|DECISION DELAYED UNTIL ZONE CHANGE|
PUBLIC WORKS TEAM MEETING 7-18-13 LMS
The city’s Public Works Team met with Don Schaffer July 10 and discussed his inquiry about connecting his property on VFW Drive to the city’s main sewer system. Chairman Fred Waidely told the Salmon City Council that connection options would include running the line down Elks Road and across the highway to reach the main line or hooking on to a sewer line on either Lombard or Monroe Streets or connecting to the Pole Line Road line.
The area where Shaffer’s property is located is currently zoned Highway Commercial. When the new Development Code is adopted that zoning will change to Heavy Commercial. Waidely said since the area in question is yet to be developed the team felt that perhaps how to connect to the city’s sewer system should be determined when development is more imminent. At that time the Public Works Department will determine the most feasible connection route.
The next meeting of the Public Works Team will be August 14 at 2PM in the Salmon Valley Center meeting room.
