ELECTION RESULTS 11-6-13 LMS

A veteran city councilman has won reelection and will be joined by two new council members in 2014.

Jim Baker will be returning as City Councilman after generating 329 votes in the November 5 city election. He has been on the City Council since 2006.

There were five men running for the three council seats available. Baker’s current term is expiring and he opted to run for re-election. The two other openings on the council were left by Jim Kluesner and Jesse Bender whose terms were up this year. Neither wanted another term.

The two new council members will be Russell Chinske who garnered 289 votes, and Rob Jackson who drew 259 votes. All three council seats carry a four year term.

The other two contenders for the council seats were Greg ‘Farmer’ Lowell who drew 252 votes and Luke Prange who received 165 votes.

The percentage of registered city voters who participated in the election was 27.5.
