SACAJAWEA CENTER UPDATE 11-20-13 LMS

Sacajawea Center Director Lin Gray is preparing a spread sheet showing the frequency of all rental activity in each of the center’s rental categories so the figures can be compared to other similar facilities.

Sacajawea Center Team Chairman, City Councilman Fred Waidely told the November 20 meeting of the Salmon City Council that the team is considering establishing an hourly rate for some of the rentals to add to the half day and full day rates. Any fee rate adjustments will be presented to the City Council.

Waidely said a new program is being developed by the center’s staff. The “Winter Wellness’ program will consist of winter oriented fitness, health, life sports and nutrition program presentations. He also said two hand-made quilts have been donated to the center as raffle prizes. Raffle proceeds will go toward center programs and activities.

A Strategic Planning session with the facility’s partners will be conducted by the center staff and will feature the upcoming year’s programs and activities.

According to Waidely program plans for 2014 are already underway and should be completed by the time the Spring season begins. He said input concerning programs and activities are always welcome and anyone having suggestions may contact Lynn Grey at the Sacajawea Center or call City Hall.

Team meetings are open to the public. The Sacajawea Center Team’s next meeting will be December 18 at 11:30AM in the facility’s Learning Center.
