ICE JAM 12-9-13

As of Monday afternoon the Deadwater Ice Jam had reached a length of 15 miles. It has grown two and a half miles upriver since Sunday and is now over half way between Deadwater and the town of Salmon.

There is still no evidence of flooding along Highway 93 North towards North Fork. The jam is expected to continue to grow for a short time even if temperatures begin to moderate as predicted.
