ICE JAM CONTINUES TO GROW 12-11-13
Slightly warmer temperatures slowed the growth of the Deadwater Ice Jam but so far havenít stopped it.
By Wednesday morning the south end of the ice jam in the Salmon River was nine miles north of town having grown about one half mile since Tuesday.
The total length of the ice jam, which starts 26 miles downriver at Deadwater, is 17 miles.
No flooding has been reported in areas usually prone to ice jam overflows.
