GOLFING SEASON BEGINS 3-19-14 LMS

Dan Garcia and Laura Edwards from the Salmon City Golf Association told the March 12 meeting of the city’s Parks and Recreation Team that the Golf Couse is open for the season and in great shape.

Team Chairman/Councilman Rob Jackson told the March 19 meeting of the Salmon City Council that the Golf Association representatives updated the team on changing association five year contracts to annual contracts, changes made in alcohol agreements and they reported that two course bridges were repaired prior to opening the course.

Jackson said Craig McCullum was also in attendance at the Parks and Recreation Team meeting. McCullum’s topic was a bicycle Pump Track; what that is and why it would be a benefit to the community. The team discussed possible locations for the recreational track. McCullum will gather information on costs and placement and then report his findings to the team.

The Parks and Recreation Team meetings are open to the public. The next scheduled meeting for the team is April 9 at 3:30PM in the Salmon Valley Center meeting room.
