ANOTHER SHAKER 4-14-14 LMS
Monday afternoon at 2:16 a strong earthquake once again shook Challis and surrounding areas.
Monday’s quake came in at a 4.4 only slightly less intense than the 4.9 that occurred Saturday evening.
According to the US Geological Survey the most recent earthquake took place at approximately the same depth and within the same general area as the one on Saturday. The epicenter of Monday’s quake is said to have been 9 miles north northwest of Challis at a depth of 3.1 miles.
