BEAR WINTERIZATION 11-19-14 LMS
Ken Beller officially presented all the Operation and Maintenance Manuals for the Town Square Park Bear to the Public Works Team at their November 12 meeting. The bear has officially gone into hibernation and Beller said all the winterizing has been done.
Ray’s Heating has agreed to provide winterization and Spring start up work on the bear for $500 per year. The Public Works Team will forward the offer to the Finance Team which will then submit it to the full council.
There were no proposals submitted from local contractors on construction of the restrooms at City Park and the Town Square. In speaking with contractors Community Project Coordinator Mary Cerise determined there may have been some misunderstandings about the Request For Proposals procedures and price scope. She will obtain more specifications on the electrical and plumbing and then ask contractors to submit bids in the Spring.
BriAnne Westfall presented the Public Works Team with an S20 Design Engineering Report for the Salmon City Whitewater Park. Also discussed were proposals by Butler Bridge Design Engineering and Northwest Engineering Services, PC. Upon a Public Works Team request, Westfall presented the material to the November 19 meeting of the Salmon City Council.
The next Public Works Team meeting will be December 10 at 2PM in the Salmon Valley Center meeting room.
