CONTRACTS AND COMPLIMENTS 2-18-15 LMS
The City of Salmon has signed an agreement with Northwest Engineering Services, P.C. to perform all services related to the design and engineering of the Island Park Bridge Replacement Project. In addition to the actual design and drawings of the bridge and abutments, plus plans for environmental erosion and sediment control, the contract encompasses preliminary coordination with all agencies involved, generation of construction bid documents, design plans and specifications, project presentations and scheduling of public meetings. The total engineering costs are estimated at $23,325.
Northwest Engineering is based in Rigby, Idaho with local offices in Salmon.
During the councilís February 18 Roundtable Discussion Mayor Leo Marshall announced that, thanks to Finance Director Amy Fealko, the city has successfully completed its round of the ICRMP (Idaho Counties Risk Management Program) Discount Management Program. At least 80 percent of the city employees had to participate in the training program in order to qualify for the discount. The participation percentage was well above that requirement. Marshall congratulated Fealko and the staff.
The third reading of Ordinance 15-797 was unanimously passed by the City Council. The amended ordinance sets rules for water and sewer utility payments and includes; required deposits, policies related to delinquent accounts as well as newly revised deposit refund procedures and shut off procedures.

The next meeting of the Salmon City Council will be Wednesday, March 4, at 6PM in the Salmon Valley Center meeting room.
