CONCEPTUAL DRAWINGS PRESENTED 8-19-15 LMS
Steele Memorial Medical Center Chief Operating Officer Abner King presented conceptual drawings of a proposed addition to the Steel Memorial Medical Centerís Clinic during the August 12 meeting of the cityís Public Works Team.
Team Chairman and Councilman Fred Waidely told the August 19 meeting of the Salmon City Council that King inquired about using the cityís existing storm drainage system. Waidely said it was determined the team will need more detailed information in order to assess the degree of impact on the system. He said the medical center will make a formal presentation to the full City Council when engineering plans and drawings are completed.
Another topic of discussion was the flooding along Kids Creek that occurred last Spring. Waidely said the team noted that Kids Creek mostly flows through private property and that property lines are not too well established. He said in some cases owners object to removal of trees and bushes and other property owners do not.
The cityís main responsibility is the various culverts that cross city streets. Waidely said the teamís recommendation was for elevations to be determined at each culvert to facilitate proper drainage and flow through the culverts. He said the team and Public Works Department will continue to discuss the situation.
The next meeting of the Public Works Team will be September 9th at 2PM in the City Hall Conference Room.
