BID ACCEPTED 10-16-17 LMS
On Monday, October 16, the Lemhi County Commissioners met to officially award the bid for construction of a new Exhibition Hall at the Lemhi County Fairgrounds.
In reviewing the figures listed in the Wright Brothers-The Building Company construction proposal, some tabulation errors were found which raised the projected cost to $745,255. That figure was still lower than the $785,500 bid submitted from Mark Guho Construction Company of Boise. The bid was awarded to the Wright Brothers of Eagle, Idaho.
Both bids were higher than expected by the county. A letter is being drafted to send to the Idaho Counties Risk Management Program (ICRMP), the county’s insurance carrier, requesting more funding to offset the unexpected expense. The letter will also state reasons the county feels ICRMP should pay more towards replacement of the building.
The bid accepted is for the building’s shell and does not include the costs of livestock stalls or other interior fixtures.
